Review on πŸ”¨ Enhanced Grip-EZ Meat Tenderizer by Norpro by Tanya Luna

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works as intended. I got what I paid for.

I got exactly what I paid for. In hindsight, I would have paid a little more for the Highfalutin meat tenderizer I saw on this site, with a head that was one piece but double sided. on it to make it easier to clean and maintain. This one works as intended, but since the spikes are in the grip I can't guarantee I'll get all the dirt off when I wash it or that mold or bacteria won't build up in the base. Meat Tenderizer Highfalutin I'm talking about a one-piece handle with a detachable head that has two sides. One is a traditional western meat tenderizer and the other is spiked like this one. Easier to clean and maintain, the Highfalutin version has no hiding places for dirt, bacteria or mold to hide or grow. I got this version because it was recommended for what I do. I have cooked/boiled pork belly with crispy skin and this is used to pierce the skin on the surface to allow moisture to evaporate and puff the skin. It works well. He does what he was made for. However, the spikes are in the grip and I can't look inside the grip or take it apart to clean the grip. Another problem is that sometimes the spikes and the guide don't match, so you have to be aware of that. Otherwise it works great and I've had it for a long time. Works better than a couple of skewers or a fork. Faster and easier to use than using a fork or skewer for the same purpose.
