I was so excited when I made this purchase. I have read all the reviews and looked at all the photos of other happy kids playing on this mat. My child, like many other children, hated the prone position, absolutely hated the prone position! She was about 5 months old and I was going insane because there was nothing I could do to make her happy on her tummy. I was so concerned about her development. I read all these reviews about everyone else's kids who also hated tummy time and how this water mat was their saving grace so I bought it. We got it, I cleaned it, filled it with warm water and put my little one on my lap to show her. At first she was curious so I slowly lowered her onto the mat then she got mad, I mean I think she was even more mad than usual. So I pushed it aside and held it, I thought we'll try later once again. Later came, she still hated him. I really can't give this product any stars, it's not the manufacturer's fault my child isn't a fan, but I felt it was really important to accurately describe my experience as I bought it based on the idea my child should be just as happy and suddenly loving tummy time like everyone else lol. The rug itself is very well made, gosh I had fun playing with it alone! It's very cute, durable, easy to clean and glides easily across the carpet when I need to get it out of my child's sight. I'm happy to report that shortly after I bought this item and I never got a chance to see that she enjoys it, she decided to roll over on her side and work her abs whenever she does wanted to. So because of the durability and so on of this article. 5 Stars!
