I may have been spoiled by GMC, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, VW, Honda, etc. I just don't expect such a glitch to be so predictably necessary. The X5's front glass went down and wouldn't go up, found that the original flimsy clips were broken. So when the rear window went down and wouldn't go up, I bought thin replacement mounting clips for it and upon disassembly found that OTHER thin, brittle plastic parts included in this regulator assembly were broken, causing the cable to break internally . This part came very quickly and works great. I'm frustrated with the design, which basically annoys the X5 owner when their watch has 100,000 or 150,000 miles on it. is it fair It seems to me that a short-sighted business model has resulted in high-mileage BMWs having extremely low resale values. They are simply unreliable, too expensive to repair and a waste of time. Maybe I was spoiled!
