Like many others I really wanted my Tesla Model 3 front trunk to open automatically because, well, is that cool? And also because. - No, that's it. That's cool. However, on my 2019 Model 3, they were pretty easy to install. I found using a very small flathead screwdriver to remove the clamps from the existing posts was much easier. It only lasted a minute as I was using a very small one so this is the best advice I can give. Combined with the 11/32" x 1-7/8 spring I now feel like I'm breaking something. Great stuff. A few things: 1.) I read a review that said in the Turkey made frames don't work properly Mine are made in Turkey and work fine so I wouldn't worry about that at all 2.) With these stronger struts there is no chance of the spar bursting on its own, the struts don't wear anything to do with the actual metal locking mechanism that holds the fender in place. 5 stars out of 5.
