There are several reasons to buy a Blue Charm Beacon (actually any Beacon):1). Few companies make beacons and sell them piece by piece to humble consumers who just want 1 or 2 people to use them to do weird home geofencing projects. Most of the big boys like Estimote no longer sell individual beacons and have definitely stopped supporting them and updating their apps. Other than BlueCharm, there aren't really many proximity beacon sellers on Amazon. Or even in the general network. 2) They work. If you're not tech savvy, learn tech, and if you can't get the beacon to work. This is probably user error. However, if you have trouble setting it up, see 3.3) This is the most important thing. Support. I sent a question about a project I'm working on (wanted the beacon to track and send webhooks when I'm very close) and Thomas (the owner) replied within an hour with a very detailed answer. He even invested in a project I was working on and let me try different scenarios that he had tested himself for my unique case! Wow. You couldn't ask for more practical customer service. I'm getting to the root of my problem and it's definitely not the hardware beacon itself. This is another software issue that Thomas helped me discover himself. In addition, he has clearly invested in what he does and is a good engineer. Definitely decide to buy lighthouses. Support BlueCharm.
