Review on Hanperal Polishing Wheels Dremel Rotary by Michael Reese

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great value if you're willing to prepare them a little ahead of time.

You can't beat the price, but there are a few caveats. Anyway the wires tend to fly off fairly easily and if any part of your body blocks the plane of rotation they will hit you so you have to use very low RPMs. If you have a pair of tongs that are thick enough, you can soften them up a bit by crimping the metal washer all the way around. I included two of my used bikes in the photo. Both were used for cleaning mineral deposits from hose bib threads for about the same time. The right one was used as it came out of the box at very low RPMs and the left one was lightly crimped with my linesman pliers and used at slightly higher RPMs. I still pinged a few wires out of the crimp here and there, but as you can see in the photo, the example on the left came out relatively unscathed compared to the example on the right. As far as I can tell all these wire brush wheels from all manufacturers suffer from the same problem including major brands so I don't see anything wrong with banking on the crowd and taking a preventative measure to crimp the metal wheel before use.
