Review on 🌬️ LEVOIT Air Purifier Replacement Filter, Core 300-RF: True HEPA & Activated Carbon, 1 Pack – White, High Efficiency by Bubba Ott

These filters are effective for the Levoit Core 300 air purifier. When I bought this unit these filters were $20 each but now they are $30 which is a pretty outrageous increase in price. I haven't tried alternative filter brands yet. Some of them have mixed reviews, with customers complaining that they don't fit or last long. In some cases, however, alternative brands are very cheap (almost the same as the originals) and buyers report that they are indistinguishable from the originals at several times the price. As far as I can tell, the main difference might be in the pre-filter. Levoit filters are finely meshed, but from the photos I've seen some of the 'fake ones' may not be as finely meshed (the gaps appear larger) which allows more particles to get into the HEPA. filter and lead to a shortened lifespan (as reported by some reviewers). Shorter lifespan or not, if Levoit insists on punishing its loyal customers by cheating filters out of us, we'll just start buying filters from unknown brands, and then when it comes time to buy a new air purifier , we will look elsewhere. While I'm a fan of the Core 300, it's still a small device that only spins at 140 CFM. There's just no reason to spend a lot of money on replacement filters for an air purifier that moves relatively little air. If the price of these filters ever goes above $30 I will no doubt buy filters from other manufacturers which can be found here at Revain for only $12.99 per filter.
