Now it works great and the error seems to be fixed.
My 2002 Trailblazer LTZ spent almost a year looking in the back of the trunk for a faulty wire. The hatch periodically lost power and my clicker stopped working. I finally exchanged this module in the tailgate and took it to the dealer for programming. Now it works great and the problem seems to be fixed.
