Review on πŸ” AirDog Pre-Filter and Fuel Filter Combo Pack (Fleetguard FF5324-FS19594 WS100 FF100-2) by David Stewart

Inexpensive replacement filters

They are the same size and fit as the original filters. I use them on a 2003 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 24 valve Cummins 5.9L engine that I retrofitted with an AirDog pump/filter system about 10 years ago. These filters are no worse than those of the AirDog brand. AirDog also stated that using these aftermarket filters does not void the warranty. It may be because my pump/filter assembly is lower than the fuel tank, but installation is (in my case) as easy as changing an oil filter. I just leave the top fuel filter free until I disconnect the 3 fuel lines (outlet, inlet and return). If I have fuel leaks around the filter, I tighten it, clean the filters and that's it! There is no need to start the pump or stop the engine. Gravity does the refueling for me. Warning: I forgot to mention that there are two small black spring loaded fiber retainers under the fuel filter mount that interfere with the Fleetgaurd filter just enough to prevent a good filter from fitting. They're not really needed, so I recommend removing them with an Allen wrench to avoid damage that could leave dangerous debris behind.
