So far this has worked very well! My small dog cannot walk as far as I or our other large dog would like. I can bandage her myself if she gets tired during walks/hikes, and she will be more comfortable lying propped up. I usually have front paws that stick out and she is good. She's usually either fully or almost standing, and when she moves I know she wants to walk again. I put my hand on her head to support her closet as she walks and the way she's standing makes her move a little. She doesn't want to lie in it. She weighs 15 pounds and the bandage is comfortable, but after a while her shoulder starts to hurt a little. Overall very happy with this product and it really helped us on our walks!
