Review on 📻 Uniden CMX660 Bearcat Off Road Series Compact Mobile CB Radio - Ultra-Compact, 40-Channel Operation, Easy Mounting, NOAA Weather with Alert, Black Color by Tina Price

I haven't had this radio very long but so far it's working as I've come to expect from Uniden. I put an SWR meter on it and got 1.2:1 on channels 1 and 40 and 1:1 on channel 19 using a Hustler magnetic antenna. The power meter shows an output voltage of 4 volts when the microphone is simply switched on with no voice transmission. Slightly higher when speaking. I like its small size, it fits between the seat and console in my Subaru. After reading all the negative reviews, it seemed to me that most of the issues stemmed from a crappy mic extension cable. I don't need an extension for my application. I ran the power cord straight to the fuse box, but the cigarette lighter adapter plugged into it with no problem. I don't like adapters as they tend to fall out of their socket when you hit bumps. So far I am very happy with this radio. I also have a Bearcat 880 and a Bearcat 980 SSB that I have installed on larger vehicles (with more space) with dual antenna systems. If this one fails in the end I will update this review.
