I bought this first as a precaution for our eldest to wear when he rides his bike without us. However, it is not waterproof and not designed for wet weather. We've had quite a bit of rain and it's very humid here. So since we have a lot of stuff that we could be stocking at the moment, I decided to use it there. The vault is air conditioned and has really good security, but a little more never hurts. I managed to mount it on a stand in the corner of the device and I can see everything. We charge it during the day and transport it there at night. The battery itself lasts 5 to 6 hours, but we also hooked it up to a power station so it continuously records until we turn it off. Usually 12 hours a day. It has a built in 32GB card which we clean/remove daily. Night vision will come in handy as the vault actually turns off the lights at night. We can see everything clearly and know the sound works well because we've tested it ourselves multiple times. Well the kids did it. lol It is not heavy and small but has a good field of view. As soon as we no longer need storage space, it will probably be used in our air-conditioned outbuilding. I'd love to try it for what we bought it for, but I'm afraid our hot and humid weather will ruin it. Nevertheless, it will still be useful to us for other things.
