Good bidet with adjustable nozzle, too sharp stream that can be fixed

TIP: If you find you don't need enemas, use a 1/16" (or smaller) drill bit to enlarge the center nozzle opening ). I bought this bidet to replace my trusty Hyundai HDBM-100 which broke down in a recent move after almost 10 years of service. To my surprise, most modern offerings were worse: no adjustable jets and threads (instead of pressure) for the Connection ). While I couldn't find a new quick release bidet, this Brondell has an adjustable nozzle that's almost identical to my old Hyundai - in fact the entire bidet appears to be a rebranded and slightly updated version. Installation was easy, bidet works great, but the central nozzle seemed too sharp and like a needle to me. I had the same problem with my old HD BM-100 which I fixed by reaming out the center hole of the nozzle with a 1/16" bit. The same hack worked on Brondell's block. Now I can shoot as much as I want and still not get my ass kicked. Yay! My only other complaint is the valve handle. Splitting between cleaning and self-cleaning gives you a very small turning radius (less than 90 degrees) for adjusting the water pressure, which doesn't allow for great accuracy as small turns can have a big effect. Having the flush function (i.e. the most commonly used) on the right also means you turn clockwise to open and counterclockwise to close, which is the opposite of a faucet.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some problems
