Locking knobs to keep bike at right angle, small and hard plastic with no rubber coating

I wish I had bought this at the end of April when my wife bought 2 bikes for me as 'projects'. to fix them. Excited about it because I learned so much! But I was working on the driveway tarmac, constantly flipping the bike, etc. It was literally a headache. This bike stand is fully adjustable in every way! The only complaint I have is the big red HANDLES. to tighten the swingarm. The plastic handles are really hard. and they are difficult to grasp with larger hands. I wish they had a rubber grip. I also wish the knobs were pushed further out so I could get a better grip so I could really tighten them. Today I was working on one of the bikes for a couple of hours and I had to rotate the bike 270 degrees. and it was very difficult to keep it in place because of the handles. but otherwise. I'm very happy with it. When not in use, it shrinks to about 6 inches wide (square) and about 3 feet long. It's actually quite compact and fits perfectly in the corner of the garage. to rotate the bike to various positions needed for changing shifter cables, derailleurs/shifters, brake work, etc. I would definitely buy it again based on today's use. I have one caveat though, and that's whether the knobs tighten to the point where they hold the bike at the right angle/place. just not sure. But I think I can get a rubberized stylus that will give me a better grip on the handles.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Nothing here
