This set of 3 ice trays with silicone base for easy removal is probably the best thing in my freezer. However, they didn't taste good. This is my first time using them, so here's my suggestion to fix the problem: 1. Soak in dish soap overnight (I use Dawn). 2. The next day, place in the dishwasher along with all other dishes. 3. Take them out of the washing machine, fill them with water, put them in the freezer, take them out when the water freezes, and voila. No bad smell or taste. I buy fresh herbs, chop and freeze them. These bowls are perfect for that. Once frozen I can take them out and bag individual cubes for later use. I also made lemon cubes to add to our iced tea, great touch, love the lids so I can stack them on top of each other. Very good article and very useful
