Review on Gallon Wet Vacuum with Powerful Horsepower by Stanley by Russ Charmin

I was torn between a star or two but was so disappointed that I chose one. It seems that all of these reviews are for several different versions of Stanley vacuums. I bought SL18199P - 12Gal, 6HP and accessories. Looking for suction power. I have a Rigid Wet/Vac in my garage and was tired of lugging it down into the basement so figured I could leave something in the basement. On paper, that's exactly what I wanted. First, the description says "6HP Peak" in several places. It is not. The suction cup and box are very clearly labeled "Peak 5.5 PS". It's a small difference, but I paid for 6 hp. and was looking for the most powerful vacuum cleaner he could get his hands on. Second, the suction power is nowhere near the same as my hard vacuum. It looks like they're trying to increase the suction rate by using a smaller hose than any other wet/vacuum vac I've ever used. The hose on this vacuum is 1 7/8" in diameter (a unique feature of Stanley so you have to purchase the hoses) compared to the 2 1/2" hoses on all others. To sum up, if you can get this at a great price, it might suit your needs. I would consider it very slightly wet/vacuum. It's just not as good as it sounds. I am sending this one back and going to one of the hardware stores and buying an adult vacuum.
