nice and thick, the lace is awful, burns very easily

I like the fabric it's made of and it's pretty easy to put on. However, I installed it on my old one just to fill it up a bit more. I'm a quilter and have recently made thousands of face masks so they were really overworked and worn out so I replaced them with this funny one! What I don't like is that the end of the cord that needs to be pulled and fastened is at the front of the ironing board where it gets thinner and you iron the sleeve etc. I think that can get in the way if you do that do something but I don't like ironing clothes when it comes to clothes. I also think that the tip is quite thin and I think it will tear sooner or later. The old cover I have has an elastic band and a drawstring which was the best idea, also not only was that drawstring thicker and lasted almost 20 years but it also tied at the back end of the board which is better. I also didn't know what to do with all the remaining extra ropes that were hanging down. I don't want to cut them off because I might have to put them back on later and they're needed there. I was able to find a way to weave it in and out under the board, but it's not optimal. Overall this is pretty good value for money and the fabric feels durable and the padding is quite thick. UPDATE 5/6/2020. That's burnout resistance for you. My old one didn't even look like it after 20 years, but this one did after about a week. I have to constantly tighten the line. This is very annoying. I think I need to come up with something with the rubber band to make it work better. Honestly I would return but for the price and knowing there isn't much in stock it would be better I just leave it until it's completely destroyed in a month or two and then make my own. UPDATE UPDATE 5/20/2020 The whole top is now burnt and I'm not a very proud owner of a brown ironing board cover. Don't buy this junk.
