My cat peed on my bed which I just bought a new memory foam mattress topper for. I followed the directions and tried twice to remove the smell. He ended up with a much larger surface area that is now dirty and smells bad. My mattress is ruined and probably the mattress topper too. I'm trying a different product (after trying vinegar and baking soda) and hoping it works better. I also tried it on an old urine stain on my carpet not for the smell but for the stain and it did the same thing as it did on my mattress and basically made the stain bigger. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't recommend this product and I don't know how it got such rave reviews.
