digital display very difficult to read. Of course, by holding down the hold button you must automatically bring the direction of the measuring end of the device, part of your hand or thumb, into the path of the display. The display is very dark. If the room you are in is poorly lit, you will need to hold a flashlight or magnifying glass to see the readings. (Look at the photo of the block, it even seems faint) The number on the display sometimes flashes, but you don't know what it means! It beeps but what does the beep mean when it stops and starts beeping and flashing intermittently. No user manual. When you put the device in water, sometimes the display will not light up and sometimes it will light up. Works inconsistently.
