Review on 🔧 Dorman 41085 Air Cleaner Fastener: Perfect Fit for Acura/Honda Models, 4 Pack by Tony Flugence

I think this review will help many Honda Civic 7th Gen (2001-2005 models) owners. I know that the Revain and Dorman websites say this part is not compatible with a 2001-2005 Honda Civic engine air filter, but I read a reviewer from Revain who orders this part and has had success on their 2005 Honda Civic EX has used. Not wanting to spend a lot of money on my old battered 2005 Honda Civic LX, I just took a chance and got this part. Well I'm the second review of this. The profile and head of the screw are the same as the factory screw, there is a slight difference in the thread position (see my 2 photos: on the left is the original screw, on the right is the Dorman 41085 screw). Also, the length of the Dorman bolt is about 0.3-0.5mm longer. (I didn't use a caliper, just looked at the eye). I only had to replace 2 of the 6 original screws as they were in bad shape but ended up replacing 4 in the corner and using the 2 least rusty original screws for the 2 center front and rear. This bolt is a good substitute for a bolt, although it's not mentioned anywhere. It's better than buying an OEM bolt which is $4 a bolt (plus shipping back then). Disclaimer: I'm not an auto mechanic so take my advice with a grain of salt. .
