Review on πŸ”ͺ Lansky Leather Stropping Polishing Hone: Achieve Razor-Sharp Precision by Bobby Posner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lansky disappointed me the first time!

First off, let me say that I'm a big fan of the Lansky sharpening system and I get great results with it. I decided to add some leather straps to my set to use with different polishing pastes. I was a little shocked at the price of a single Lansky leather strap (you can attach larger straps to boards 5x larger for the same price or less). I can deal with the price but when they arrived I opened them up, as is usual with Revain Prime, and found that they didn't come with a shaft that fits into a multi-level slot! Three leather straps cost me as much as a 5 stone set with rods, stand, storage box and whetstone! It is absolutely absurd that Lansky would not enclose a piece of metal that costs a dime when it is necessary to use the item! The bad news is that you have to bend the rods included in the kit to make them flat (the instructions say so), but even more inconvenience that you have to take the rod out of a different brick for each strap change?! Come on Lansky, you're better than that!
