Let me start by saying that I am a 12 year old mechanical engineer am designing, assembling, repairing, enhancing and maintaining production equipment, and I spend a lot of time designing race cars and auto racing (and general auto repair for that matter) - not to honk, but honestly I can do the in fairly accurately assess the hand tools used in these areas. For the price, these pliers are without a doubt a five star product. Add in the ability to move inside-out faster and they're worth the extra $30 added to their price. Many reviewers say all points are bent and this made me worry that the ones I received will be bent too. To my disappointment (and ultimately delight) all of my points are bent. But here's the trick - all points are bent in the desired direction so that the locking ring does not pop out. This happens regardless of how you use them, i.e. outer or inner rings. I don't know if this was intentional by the manufacturer or if it's just a product of the manufacturing process but I'm glad they did it because it's brilliant. I've only used a couple of these tongs for a few jobs so far, but they work, and they're very effective. They do what they have to do and no more. The large padded handles are mostly a gimmick, but bring some comfort. It's fair to say that with tools that cost three times as much you won't get anything else. However, I wouldn't dare go cheaper than this. If you do, you can find very poor quality tools for less than this price. They're 100% better than anything you'll find in port freight and almost as good as tool trolleys. Oh, by the way, the storage box is really good. The case holds the pliers well and it's not one of those cases that's much larger than it should be. I actually wanted to take all the pliers out and put them in the Ernst pliers stand, but since the case is so small and small enough not to take up too much space, the pliers stay inside.
