These speakers are awesome. I've had older, smaller 75w Logitech 5.1 speakers and they lasted about a decade on a variety of things, music, movies, games etc. They were tremendous value. Unfortunately, one of the satellites is down, and it's time to switch to her older brother. This model is amazing. My living room is raging for some reason, especially HD movies. I have no complaints about it and there's hardly any need to get over 50% for amazing sounding movies/games/music. My old speakers were fine, but now I can impress my friends when they come to the movies. I also use an old Creative Xtreme Sound Blaster X-Fi card, which gives them a bit more performance than a standard 5.1 card. If you're using a classic media player to watch movies, make sure you've entered the options and clicked the Normalize button. I set the gain to 350% and applied the recovery volume. If you want the most bang for your buck and want to use your PC as an entertainment hub, whether you're hooked up to a projector or big screen, these speakers are probably the best bang for your buck. Speaker placement is important so make sure you do your homework before installing them if you are going to be doing this. These things are set up at ear level in a room about 18ft by 20ft with a bass box under the table and sticking out about six inches from the wall. Bass redirection enabled. I am 20 feet tall. the ceilings in this room and it's open to either side of the living room and there's a lot of boost and bass when watching movies.
