This adapter does exactly what it is supposed to do and works out of the box on the new Samsung 970 Pro 512GB SSD in my Asus X99 E-WS. In fact, the drive's tests easily exceed Samsung's advertised maximum read and write speeds. The board looks like a quality product and comes with the screws and hardware needed to mount an M.2 PCIE 3.0 X4 SSD and has a low profile bracket if required. The price was very competitive and I was surprised to see no one was looking at the board. However, I am very happy with the purchase.
