Review on πŸ”§ Efficient Swivel Brake Pad Spreader Tool by Capri Tools: Ensuring Optimal Brake Performance by Andy Syla

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Can't believe I haven't had one yet

This review is for the Heavy Duty model. It was a lot easier to use than the C clamp on my last single piston brake job, I'm sure there will be a bit of fiddling with the dual piston setup and I have to use an old pad to compress both at the same time , but no more so than with clamp C. The only downside is that the handle is plastic, I think the cylinder head that protrudes through the top of the handle is actually the top of a screw and metal, but the handle appears plastic to be, which is always a risk to do really hard work. But at least if it falls out, you still have the option to use an outlet that other models don't have. While it was as simple as turning the knob and squeezing the plunger, I don't see that ever happening. In terms of its durability, it's not as heavy as I thought it would be, but it definitely worked well and I don't see it ever exceeding its limits. Overall I think it was worth every penny and is a great addition to my toolbox.
