I bought this to mount my phone on my 2015 VFR 800 with the stock RAM X-Grip setup. The steerer hole is 19mm, which is in line with the design parameters of this kit. So, to get straight to the problem, an unfavorable tightening ratio of the central hexagon screw is required to sufficiently prevent twisting when testing with moderate manual force. However, with a typical phone weight and drive force, it will stay in place and will NOT slip out of the steerer tube. I will continue to use it as there are not many other solutions for my bike model and despite some limitations. , this seems appropriate in the real world. Will update when my phone flies - LOL.
