Don't waste your money

I have a 2019 Kawasaki zx6r 636 with a 12-13mm steerer tube hole. The universal RAM mount fits, but doesn't tighten enough to prevent your devices from rotating, meaning the ball rotates very easily, as does anything attached to it. The best product that installs in seconds, stays ultra secure and prevents your devices from rotating is the Buybits 12mm Motorcycle Stem Mount. Shown is a Buybits 12mm mount, not a RAM stem mount. link below. The BuyBits 12mm stem mount is more expensive, but it…

I see what other reviewers say.

I bought this to mount my phone on my 2015 VFR 800 with the stock RAM X-Grip setup. The steerer hole is 19mm, which is in line with the design parameters of this kit. So, to get straight to the problem, an unfavorable tightening ratio of the central hexagon screw is required to sufficiently prevent twisting when testing with moderate manual force. However, with a typical phone weight and drive force, it will stay in place and will NOT slip out of the steerer tube. I will continue to use it as…

Arrived at the end

After several false starts I finally installed this bracket safely and correctly on my Moto Guzzi V11 Le Mans. After reading other reviews I think I can point out the problem that has plagued others: the screw gets stuck in the top casting when it should be turning, preventing the mechanism from being tightened enough to release the Push out the rubber stopper to grab the shaft. use a hex wrench to screw it in until it stops, THEN TURN the entire assembly clockwise to tighten even further. BUT…

As a longtime Ram Mount user, don't worry.

2020 R6 The installation instructions are very simple, we measure the rubber insert, cut it out, assemble it, insert it and tighten it - in fact everything is not that simple. The bottom plastic insert doesn't hold the rubber well so you have to turn the screw to try and make a purchase. I pulled the stem's rubber insert out and tightened the bike, put it back in with some force - and it's solid - but it's impossible to secure the bolt to keep the ball from spinning. I spent a little over an…

Below average product from an otherwise excellent company

Bought this to install my phone on my Councours 14 2015. Having used ram mounts on other bikes in the past I figured it was a safe bet. . Boy was I wrong. This has to be one of the worst products I've ever seen. I watched a youtube video on installation (made by Ram Mount) which showed it was easy. After following the instructions in the video I was left with a fork mount that was as loose as it could get. I went online to see what others had to say and of course this is a known downside of…

Great concept but not cutting edge. Works poorly with smaller keg sizes.

The kit is designed for 12-33mm holes. This mount may work well on larger bore stems, but it doesn't fit my Hayabusa with a 12mm stem bore at all. I followed the instructions exactly and this bracket does not tighten. There isn't enough rubber to clamp the inside of the stem and the bolt wants to turn. Another problem is that the smallest plastic nut holder can't bite down on the rubber enough. I was ready to throw this whole set in the trash. After pausing for a while I tried again and finally

The base of the phone holder is rotated. NOT GOOD

Installed on my 2017 R Nine T Racer. The problem I had was neither understanding the engineering behind it nor assembling and tightening it. The problem occurs after the fastener has been PROPERLY installed and tightened to the point where the bolt cannot be tightened (this indicates that the nut's washer is tight on the nut - if your bolt is not tightened, have the washer underloaded the nut, which is an installation error and another problem). The mount is very secure against upward movement…

  • Definitely bad product
