Review on WEN 23072 Lithium-Ion Variable Accessory by Brian Whitmore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Big disappointment!

I have been buying Wen tools for over 60 years. They have always been a solid and reliable tool for me. In fact, the very first woodworking tool I ever bought was a Wen router. i still have it So when I found this cordless rotary tool called Wen, it wasn't a problem for me. especially considering it had almost 1000 reviews with an average rating of almost 4.5 stars. I should have read the reviews as the mainly negative review would have convinced me to look elsewhere. I originally used this tool for light, quick sanding jobs and found I had to be very careful not to push the tool too hard as it could cut off. But once I got the "touch" everything worked fine. That was a few months ago. Since then I don't need it anymore because I use my network rotation tool for heavy work. Today I fixed my mailbox which is 50 meters from my house. I had to cut off the end of a 1/8" stainless steel screw. It took almost 20 minutes and I never got the "touch" I needed to get it working and cut. With my corded tool it would about Take 10 seconds not counting the ten minutes to pull and grab the extension cord It's too late to send him back but it's not too late to warn others yet Corporate greed is very real I hope he has Didn't find the way to Wen. Don't buy this Wen tool. It's garbage!
