Review on 🔒 Erickson 34415 Pro Series Black Ratchet Tie-Down Straps, Pack of 2, 1-Inch x 10-Foot by Virgilio Feliciano

I bought the starter kit and was so impressed I then bought a few more to convert my entire 4 quad to flat bed hitch solution. I really liked them initially as they didn't leave any excess strap material dangling and they were very easy to stow away without any clutter. They then began to fail systematically after about 2 months. I had three different belts that just snapped and the straps broke. 2 of them won't retract or get stuck in a locked position and refuse to let go. Keep in mind I tow quads, nothing that's out of scope. I think most of the positive reviews come from people who were initially intrigued by them like me, but nobody comes back with a long term review. The straps seemed cheap, I should have known better. Old school zip ties are much more secure and with the money the toys cost I'm going back to the retro solution.
