I originally bought this device for my wife to use as a breakup alarm. Sometimes she leaves the house without her phone, so she needed something to notify her when her phone was left at home. I've since bought another one because it works so well in that regard. In fact, it works so well that sometimes I have to turn off the app when I'm at home because the moment your phone goes out of Bluetooth range, the SpotyPal alarm goes off. I originally bought the tile and decided to return it because the shared alarm didn't work for about 10 minutes. At that point, I was far away from where I had left my cell phone. The SpotyPal device is also very good at helping me find my phone when I'm home alone and can't find it. This is a high quality device, thin enough to fit in your pocket or purse.
