Is working. Until it stops

We bought this bathroom door set about three years ago and it worked fine initially. Things got a bit dodgy a few weeks ago and yesterday I had to kick in the bathroom door to get my husband out. I took a photo of the inside of the lock to show the problem: metal fatigue due to the rear latch being broken (it's the little corner piece at the top center/left). The parts look like they're made out of zinc, which isn't ideal for high-performance parts like the latch on a bathroom door. If you're using this on a door that doesn't open/close frequently it's probably fine, but I wouldn't definitely recommend it for a bathroom door.
