I enjoy working with colored pencils, I have tried many brands over the years and based on the reviews I chose this one. In general, the pencils are not bad, I've had worse ones, but there were definitely better ones. The tin set they come in is a large but very thin tin that will fit all the pens in one layer which is quite nice. The pens themselves are ok, not outstanding and not what I would call professional or artistic quality pens in my opinion, they pale in comparison to the Prisma and Colore brands. There is a decent range of colors to meet basic color needs. The grills are soft to the touch and fit well, although much better than the various color sets, they require a slightly heavier hand for more vibrant colors. I had some trouble layering them or even blending them well, a few shades are pretty close together so it didn't really matter if there was a difference, then trying to layer one shade on top of the other didn't either effectively. Works well for those who do general coloring and don't spend extra time on blending and shading. and layered colors. I find them to be quite overpriced due to the lack of quality you end up getting. There are much better brands out there for the same price and we recommend these first as they are by no means premium pencils.
