A brake technician and I spent a day bleeding the brakes on a '71 Ford Bronco that was rebuilt to new Wilwood front discs with a Wilwood master cylinder and proportional valve. We just couldn't get the flow to the rear brakes. After a long call to Wilwood tech support, they offered to bleed the master cylinder again, but with the nose down 45 degrees. They also said to hit it hard with a rubber mallet. We've never had to bleed a cylinder at such a ridiculous angle. This took a long time and we squeezed out a lot of very small bubbles. This cylinder clearly has a tendency to trap air in the rear piston, which I consider a design flaw. At the very least, Wilwood should include this venting technique in its installation guide. They don't seem to care at all.
