Very snug yet perfect fit. By snug fit I mean the design of the Audi Q7 makes changing the filter a very difficult process that can take an hour or more. The filter is not to blame. I have used K&N filters for many years and have always been pleased with their performance. After using these filters in my Q7 for a month, I noticed a slight increase in gas mileage and a significant increase in throttle response. The increase in gas mileage at today's gas prices should cover the cost of the filter within a month or two. I also save money because I no longer have to buy expensive paper filters that can cost as much as a K&N filter. The only downside is that paper filters filter much better than K&N, but at the expense of fuel and energy. What side effects, if any, are the result of these microparticles getting into my engine (possibly shortening the life of A/F sensors or other emissions sensors) I have yet to experience firsthand. At least what I know.
