I modified the standard profiles on two high-end vehicles—a crossover and an SUV—to lesser ones. In example, I reduced this Yokohama's regular size of 285/60/18 to 285/50/20. The sensitivity to the rut grew significantly on both automobiles; it now drags in and throws out, which is extremely unsafe! Gentlemen, do not pursue a low European rubber profile for our roads; it is a terrible idea since in ruts, handling decreases by 2/3, as opposed to a 5% rise on a flat road. It turns out that we sacrifice a lot of comfort (discomfort over bumps) for a negligible gain in controllability (extreme sharpness steering anxiety), as if the normal one weren't sufficient enough. Instead of the opposite, consider tires with a higher profile, like the Korean Ssanyongs.
