Review on πŸ”Œ Gaozo Banana Plug Speaker Adapter: Connect Amp Receivers to Stereo RCA L/R Phono with Ease by Kim Rogers

Poor quality, requires soldering to fix.

One of them didn't work right away and after bringing them my ohmmeter I was surprised that the other one worked at all. 3 problems: 1) The ring of the cinch plug only has a mechanical connection to the rear bar where the cable is soldered. My ohmmeter shows an open on both wires. A bit of solder would probably have fixed it, but after rummaging through all my tools, it turned out that someone had taken my soldering kit. 2) The banana plug is soldered to the wire on the back that screws onto the banana plug. So the transmission path is through a series of threads with a plastic gasket that prevents the back from screwing tightly into the front. This may not be good for the sound quality. If I had a soldering kit I would solder the wire to the front. 3) The wire is quite thin compared to the "CESS-024-6i Banana Plugs to RCA" cables I bought (I made a mistake with the ground for the cable). RCA part, that's why I bought these cables). So they can be made to work if you're willing to spend some time soldering. I will return them and get "CESS-056-6i Banana Plug to RCA Jack Cable" 6" x 2 boxed". You look a lot better.

Pros
  • Speaker cable
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
