Great Epoxy - Adhesives, Sealants and Lubricants

I buy this epoxy all the time and it does a good job of bonding metal to metal and wood to metal. I always buy a half gallon - like the other day. I purchased these containers specifically to have a sturdy bottle with a cap, which is essential for my application, but found that I received bottles with screw caps and not caps. I will be using epoxy but it's annoying to specially order the product in the picture and get something else.

High quality epoxy for sealing

I've been crafting "heirloom quality" bespoke wood products for over 40 years, I survive by word of mouth - I don't use materials or products that don't cost anything at best "old school" though little more, but the results show in the finished product. System Three Epoxy is the best, strongest and easiest to use epoxy. Revain is the best value for money for this top quality product (when using Exciot types wipe surface to be bonded with acetone and allow to dry). Thanks again to Revain and…

It is great!

Homebuilt ultra light Sitka spruce wing. and let me say this stuff is the boss! Used by wooden aircraft manufacturers for decades, this epoxy has an excellent reputation. and now i know why! It may take time to get used to measuring the right amount for the task, but this material is durable and won't shrink. It grinds pretty easily. You can glue anything to anything! Stronger than the tree itself. If it's well tried and tested for use on wooden planes where your life literally depends on it…

would not heal. Complete failure

I tried twice to test adhesion on wood. I mixed 1:1 thoroughly and applied to the wood, paying attention to worn joints. When checking the products after 48 hours, the epoxy resin is not cured. So I tried again and left it stuck for 72 hours. Now on the 4th day the epoxy has not cured. Both tests were done indoors so the temp was always between 65 and 75 F. It was past its sell by date so I'm stuck with an epoxy that doesn't work. The gluing I do has to be perfect so I have to use West Systems…

Excellent general purpose adhesive

There are many excellent specialty adhesives out there. I have used the System Three T-88 to build boats and make beautiful furniture for several decades. It's durable, waterproof, and fills in gaps when connections aren't perfect. Due to the amber color, good joints are almost invisible. He has enough working time to be able to collect, adjust and consolidate complex projects. The joints should remain closed overnight. When faster drying is required, System Three produces fast drying adhesives

Pros
  • Adhesive, sealant and lubricant
Cons
  • No automatic

Wow starch is good for glues, sealants and lubes

I bought this epoxy to bond parts together in a queen size bed project. The main field plates have tabs that fit into slots in the top and bottom horizontal rails. In addition, these rails have spikes that fit into slots cut in the corner posts. I used this epoxy in all of these joints in addition to using it on the sides of the panels to glue them together. I'm pretty sure I can knock this thing off the roof and it's still intact! This epoxy will NOT run. The only negative was that after use…

Pros
  • Sealant
Cons
  • Some mistakes

I glued a 3/4" Coosa Bluewater composite panel for my add-on control panel project and installed epoxy 12 hours into a solid bond. What happened after I applied the gelcoat was disappointing because the epoxy grout with reacted with the gelcoat leaving a sticky surface. At this point I tried wiping some of the epoxy catalyst off the other product in hopes it would help cure. If I hadn't had this reaction I would have given five stars .Update in 3 weeks. The catalyst I applied from another resin…
