Great! That's exactly what I wanted. Be aware that if you have to cut it out, you'll be in trouble. The injection of this shaft was done very well and was much deeper than I expected. I ended up having to chisel it as I didn't have anything hard enough to even cut through the middle. This will change the hardness near the cut as it gets quite hot, but for my application it was acceptable. If you're not sure you can cut hardened metal, just buy shorter shanks. Diameter tolerances were within specified tolerances as measured with a blade micrometer. My bearings fit perfectly. I am very satisfied with this shaft and can recommend it.
