From the picture on the website the stop looks solid. But when my 30lb dog was able to force the door open with little effort, I continued my inspection. The "vulcanized rubber" it's made of glides effortlessly over my old hardwood floors and carpet. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the material itself or if it has more to do with the fact that the inside of the stop is completely hollow. It has almost no weight and only the outer rubber lip, maybe 1/4 inch or a little more, actually makes contact with the floor or mat. The rest is hollow so doesn't touch and doesn't provide non-slip properties. The stop is a good size and looks good, but is not really a normal interior door in an apartment. let's see if it helps.
