Handles minerals and chemicals well
I work in a public water system with a reverse osmosis system, but these activated carbon filters even remove the chemical odor from the water. I often show people two glasses of tap water side by side, but I encourage them to close their eyes and sniff to see if they can tell me which glass went through that filter. That's a noticeable difference. I suspect if this was my main filter in a well water system they would quickly run out.
