I bought it for a reason. To start Avare. Not many 8-inch tablets have GPS, a 1920 x 1200 screen resolution, run Android 10, and have decent battery life. This is one of them. It replaces a pair of disposable 8 inch Revain Fire tablets that I used for this purpose. They don't have built-in GPS, they're slower, they don't have good screen resolution, they don't come with Google Play installed, and they don't run Android 10. This tablet has a much higher resolution resolution and larger screen, while the overall size of the tablet is about the same. I disagree with some of the other reviews - this tablet is updated (after several updates) to Android 10 (kernel 4.4.177). I have the Verizon version (no data usage) but I believe they all have GPS, Glonass and BeiDou due to the cellular hardware. In my view, the form factor and resolution are good for looking at the front panels without blocking the view of the panel like a 10 inch or larger tablet would. There are only two minor inconveniences. 1) It is only 32GB and contains the usual Samsung viruses that take up disk space and need to be cleaned. 2) It has an accelerometer but no other sensors (e.g. a compass). So if you want to use an astronomy program, a virtual reality program or an aeronautical program. It doesn't know which way you point the tablet, unlike any budget cell phone.
