Revainrating 5 out of 5

Without a doubt the best low self-discharge NiMH battery on the market.

These are the best rechargeable AA batteries you can buy, without exception. I've tried different brands as I try to only use rechargeable batteries in my house. The quality control in their production was immediately apparent. I tested each of them with a multimeter and they were all pre-charged to 0.002v of each other. I was amazed as they were in storage and on the move for some time before they came to me. I put them through a full discharge/charge cycle on my charger and they all charged to within 0.001 volts. This demonstrates a level of manufacturing consistency I've never seen in the Tenergy and EBL AAA/AA/C/D rechargeable NiMH batteries I own, as other brands typically charge within 0.02V of each other. This consistency is important as it means that in devices that require multiple batteries, batteries are much more likely to discharge along the same discharge curve, resulting in more even battery wear and less chance of accidental polarity reversal. They also have the best low self-discharge characteristics of any rechargeable battery. I can use them in my wall clocks and remotes without having to charge them as often as my EBL AAs. Note that my EBL AAs are listed as 2800mAh and may have sacrificed some LSD skill for capacity, but EBLs are made in China and are notoriously not as good as these. I use EBL for kids toys and Eneloops for everything else. My advice: Spend a little more to get Eneloops and a quality charger and you may never have to buy AAA/AA batteries again. these batteries. I don't have the skills to reproduce their work, but I encourage you to read them before you buy so you understand the reason for the price premium associated with Eneloops.
