It's like a forgotten religion

Iron has its own gravity, carries its place. We opened it up and saw it in all its transcendent simplicity, and our lives seemed to realign around a mysterious object from another world - as if the obelisk from 2001: A Space Odyssey suddenly appeared in our kitchen: the seed crystal to a deeper existence . You hold it by the handles and the story flows through you: huge hordes of people who rumbled across the steppes of Eurasia in the old world, the new world, when earthbending was first waged by the first seekers, thronged out of their primitive huts back into the darkness, the animals restless and snarling outside. Iron emptiness, deep and dark, tacitly affirming its heaviness and heaviness, black-bright and flickering with unspoken power - Feminine? Masculine? Both? But an expressive and absolute affirmation of human ability; early and mysterious child of our creative energy, we are the children of Cain. Definitely makes great popcorn.
