Review on Efficiently Scan and Digitize Documents with HP Scanjet L2706ABGJ 7000 Sheet-Feed Scanner by Keith Barra

Revainrating 1 out of 5

did you use one - Scanners and accessories

When I opened the box I found that the plastic protection on the lid had been removed once and then put back on (not a very neat job). So it happened that I bought a used device. Or a returned block that failed validation. First, I tested individual sheets without any problems. When I tested 50 sheets. feeding failed. (The reason the first customer sent it back?) After a few tries and readjusting the block, it started feeding crooked. After a few hundred pages everything was working fine. The second problem is that if you don't download the VRS software and set it up to post-process Acrobat PDF files, the scanned files will be too large (MB/page at 200 dpi). The VRS software will rescan the result to a decent size. After scanning hundreds of pages, I haven't noticed any problems with the device. So it may need a break before it starts to work. I'll report if it goes wrong again. It scans very quickly at resolutions up to 300 dpi. I like single-pass double-sided printing. The VRS post-processing is also good. (But the PDF file cannot be read by Acrobat 5 or below). You need current readers. I would have given it a higher rating but the initial experience wasn't very good. This is a good scanner.
