I have a feeling they are all pretty much the same. However, this one works pretty well. Good enough for typical use of such a device. Automotive, Household, Industrial etc. My house temperature is set at 73f. I tested a ceramic lamp base and got 73.2, a painted wall 73.4, a plasterboard ceiling 74.3, the back to another wall 73.5 and my gaming TV screen 91.2, in my freezer 11, 4 (an old school freezer, gauge I keep in there reads about 10), my leftover rigatoni for dinner reheated to 110f and took another 20 seconds lol. That's enough for every use I need. If I save myself 1 burned mouth, that's a win! But seriously, my son has lower autism and you need to think about things like that beforehand. Feels good in hand. .The battery cover is a little flimsy, but it works. The instructions were microscopic to read and rather vague, but I figured it out.
