The bracket fits easily under the stem cover and is very stable. I was concerned that my phone would not remain stable and would be difficult to see due to vibration like some of the mounts I have used, but I was surprised! It's very stable and holds my phone (iPhone 8 max) in a comfortable position to view my riding app's navigation and stats. I bought a hard plastic case to attach the jack so I can easily change my regular case and not have a jack on the back all the time. The plug fits snugly in the hard plastic case so I'm not worried about it coming loose while driving. Overall I'm impressed with this mount and I'll be buying another one for another bike so I can mount my phone on it as well.
