This sponge is awesome! I love the exfoliating properties and it makes my face soft like a baby! I find a French Red Clay sponge just as desirable as a gray Bamboo Charcoal sponge, so for me it's a toss-up that I like better. I've been using charcoal sponges for a few months and I can see a huge difference in my antiaging efforts! I like that the gray charcoal has a slightly rough surface and flakes off very well. This red tone is almost the same, so I like it too. Small wrinkles have almost disappeared, the pores are closed and the skin looks smooth. My skincare products are getting smoother too! For me there is no more Clarisonic! I love charcoal sponge but wanted to try this red clay sponge for fun. It's a gentle yet gentle scrub, enough to remove particles from the surface of my face. I love that it has a rope (everyone has) for drying. I've never had a konjac sponge fall apart or wear out. I only suggest them every two or three months because I like to get a fresh one from time to time. I like to remove my eye makeup first with a wet makeup remover to keep my lips clean. I then use the sponge to perform a rotating facial massage with a facial cleanser. This has the best anti-aging properties and works very well with an exfoliating effect with every wash. I know it says not to wring them out, but I do it all the time and it doesn't affect the life of the sponge in any way. I'm 62 years old with dry skin (no acne) but I use a lot of moisturizing skin care products. These sponges aren't too hard and go deep to pull out dirt without feeling abrasive. It's amazing how soft my skin gets after every wash!
