I admitted that due to hours of daily driving and middle age I was stuck with only dark spots on the left side of my face on the drivers side. I enjoyed it for the first few weeks. My face is really softer and brightened up nicely too (although I don't wear a lot of makeup). But it quickly began to fall apart. The picture was taken a week ago and now I can't even use it because of so many small parts falling it just doesn't work anymore. About half the sponge just disintegrated. For the price, it just doesn't have the expected durability.

This is my first time getting this brand of konjac sponge. I'm a little disappointed to say the least. When wet, it feels super slimy rather than any sourdough. How does this compare to previously purchased konjac sponges, I just don't see how they can exfoliate the skin in any way. The sponge is also quite large, which I didn't expect either. I never thought I would give up DHC facial cleansing oil but the konjac sponge was the winner! I'm 75 years old, smoke and rarely use sunscreen in my 8 years living in Florida (mind you, in the 70's and 80's we didn't know what we know now). I love this konjac sponge. I use it to exfoliate in the shower with or without my daily cleanser. It's very gentle on my skin and doesn't irritate it which is great. I really haven't noticed any difference between different types of brandy sponges (e.g. red clay for dry skin, activated charcoal for acne, etc.), but I'm sticking with red clay anyway because my skin tends to dry out as quickly as possible to be. does a little more and I don't notice it. This sponge is awesome! I love the exfoliating properties and it makes my face soft like a baby! I find a French Red Clay sponge just as desirable as a gray Bamboo Charcoal sponge, so for me it's a toss-up that I like better.
