Inexpensive function LED. The backlight brightness is excellent, the numbers are clear. I don't know how long it will last but for €7 I would probably buy it again. If you have a 12 or 24V solar battery bank, you MUST buy it. When I wake up in the morning, I can quickly see the battery level and decide whether to put on the coffee pot :-). I found the green color very easy on my eyes and it helped me quickly assess the effect of the strain I was taking from my batteries. I leave it on 24/7 so I can look across the room and see the state of affairs at any time. Much better than approaching the charge controller to see what my current output is. The connection is fast and no external power is required except for two wires connected to the battery.
