Exactly what it says!

I installed this on the battery box for my trolling kayak which is on a different battery than my fish finder to have a better view of the voltage. This gives me an idea of how much battery I can use and saves me from paddling back. It matched the sonar voltage readings exactly, as well as readings from two different multimeters. I recommend it for all your voltage measurement needs!

Pros
  • Shipping was very fast
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

An easy way to track battery voltage!

This 12 volt LED voltmeter is a great way to read battery voltage. It doesn't come in a protective case so I made one out of an old metal socket and cap. It took about 10 minutes to cut the hole with a dremel tool. It would have been nice if they included a template for the hole for mounting, but it was an easy job even without a template. The green LED indicator is clearly visible both during the day and in the dark. It also gave very accurate readings (+/- 0.1 volts) without additional…

Disappointment in tester

Really not very good. I was trying to use this on an electric machine that I was running on a Ryobi 18v drill battery. Two of them exploded a few seconds after switching on. After the first one, I put a built-in fuse in front of it in the circuit. I padded it appropriately, but it exploded again. There is no such power either. Bought third party. I just wanted to disable a button that only lights up when the button is pressed. Expected more of this as it was advertised up to 40V. It was cheap…

OK for the money - easy to read

Inexpensive function LED. The backlight brightness is excellent, the numbers are clear. I don't know how long it will last but for €7 I would probably buy it again. If you have a 12 or 24V solar battery bank, you MUST buy it. When I wake up in the morning, I can quickly see the battery level and decide whether to put on the coffee pot :-). I found the green color very easy on my eyes and it helped me quickly assess the effect of the strain I was taking from my batteries. I leave it on 24/7 so I

GOOD FUCK! This block is adjustable for accuracy.

Bought to fit my 50/10/2 amp handheld chargers. It just got a lot easier to charge the batteries of 5 vehicles. Now I don't have to carry a multimeter along with a charger. I installed a CMAKH voltmeter (love the name) on the front right under the original ammeter. Looks great, especially at night I can remotely check where the voltage is. Both SMAKN VMs I received were 0.1V higher than my expensive Greenlea multimeter which was 13.9V. I noticed a variable resistor on the board labeled "VR". A…

Big, bright, cheap and effective, but reads weakly and not very contrasting

Strong suspicion that I don't need a generator, so I need something better than idiotic lights, which I observed while driving. I bought this SMAKN and another brand which was blue, twice the price and not as bright. This one runs at half the current, about 17mA versus 35mA for the less bright one. But I ended up needing the accuracy and other display characteristics of the other device, so the other device cost twice as much. This one also shows about 0.1 volts as shown in this picture. I have

Nice tool and fun too!

I know very little about electricity but I learned more with this one. Gave it 4 stars because as others have said it would be nice if it didn't have to spend another 5-7 bucks to find a way to house it and extend the cables. Here's what I did. I took a wall mount box ($4.99) about an inch deep and a rosette (less than $1) and cut a small hole in the lid (using a drill and jigsaw) to fit the counter. I crimped extension cords (about 3 feet) onto small, delicate looking wires for my needs. I…

Not bad but not great

The design of this meter is small. The PCB traces are on the top of the board, so the connector has no mechanical support. The only thing holding it up are the tracks stuck to the disc's substrate. This means that it can withstand very little stress. When mine failed I simply cut the connector off the wires and routed them along the side of the board and through the holes on the bottom. This creates a mechanically much stronger connection. In fact, there's no point in having a plug there at…
